Within our Lego sessions, we develop the children’s team building skills, fine motor skills and bring out their inner engineers! It improves a child’s hand-eye coordination and boosts their abilities of turn-taking, problem solving and social skills! The children are able to take part in Lego therapy activities and games that allow them to construct plans, collaborate on ideas, and create marvellous builds, whilst also expressing their thoughts and feelings through all of the different shapes, sizes and coloured bricks. This component is all about inspiring creativity while supporting our emotions through Lego!
Our music sessions are where we use the power of music to encourage emotional expression, boost our confidence and even learn a new instrumental skill! Children here show the biggest improvements in their self-esteem and confidence levels through singing, dancing and playing instruments. So, whether your child sings their favourite melodies, shows off their best dance moves, or becomes the next best drummer, children here are invited to and absolutely encouraged to release our inner rock stars and take centre stage in the journey of emotional well-being!
Art therapy serves as a powerful tool in supporting a child's well-being by providing a creative outlet for emotional expression. Through various artistic mediums, children can communicate and explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences in a non-verbal and often therapeutic way. This form of therapy allows them to express emotions that may be difficult to articulate verbally, fostering self-awareness and resilience. Engaging in art activities can promote relaxation, boost self-esteem, and enhance coping mechanisms, offering a constructive means for children to navigate challenges. Art therapy not only encourages creative expression but also helps children develop a deeper understanding of themselves, contributing positively to their overall emotional and mental well-being.
